JHL Metal Roof Style

Regular metal roofs don’t have much style, corrugated and standing seam metal roofs can only be styled to a low degree by changing colors.

JHL Stone Coated Steel Roofing is available in a variety of metal roof styles and colors for added curb appeal. It’s called a metal roof that looks like shingles.

Substrate steel plate

It is very important to choose a substrate with high durability because the wrong choice can lead to a shortened lifespan of the roof. Galvanized steel and galvanized steel are the most popular metal roofing substrates.

JHL metal shingles are made of galvanized steel sheet as the base material, and different shapes are obtained through compression and folding processes. Such as slate, asphalt shingles, wood grain, and barrel shape. Now, JHL metal roofing products have 13 basic tile types.

Anti-corrosion coating

Metal roofs are exposed to the environment for a long time, and an excellent anti-corrosion coating is required.

Adhesives/Resins: In standing seam metal roofs, resins hold the pigment together and prevent the paint from degrading due to UV light. In general metal roofing, the most common resins include Polyester, PVDF, and SMP.

Solvents: They ensure that the paint has sufficient viscosity. It evaporates after coating to ensure that the sum of the pigments dries and forms the best coating.

Pigment: Pigment is the source of paint color. Lacking pigments, the paint doesn’t have any color.

Printing pattern

Some metal roofing contractors now create unique color combinations through a coating and stucco process. Such as slate, wood shake, camouflage, and moss.

JHL metal shingles use colored stone sand and resin binder as the primary coating. Through the deployment of designers, it can perfectly imitate the color of traditional roof tiles. Now, JHL metal roofing products can use 20 basic colors to match hundreds of patterns.

Metal Roofing Styles

Exposed Fastener Panels

Exposed fastener panels are a great option, especially for homeowners with limited budgets in the roof section. Exposed fastener panels are typically installed on solid roof decks with fasteners attached. Of course, it can also be mounted on an open frame.

Most exposed fastener panels are typically only 36 inches wide, so require less labor to install.

Standing Seam Systems

There are four basic standing seam metal roof panel styles on the market: double lock seam, symmetrical seam, one-piece snap-on interlock, and two-piece snap-on interlock. The snap-lock panels are attached to the roof deck with clips that do a good job of allowing the metal to expand and contract. Mechanical wind and panels are similar to snap-lock panels, but the clips used to secure them must be machine-crimped together.

Stone Coated Steel Roofing

JHL stone-coated steel roof panels cannot be installed directly on the deck. Between it and the deck, it needs to be fixed with wooden or steel bars. This also creates a unique ventilation space that organizes the transfer of heat to the interior.

It does not require regular painting like regular metal roofing. The stone coating on the surface can be used for 50 years.
